Through a surgical strike, the Indian Army thwarted the nefarious conspiracy, sending an unequivocal message that it will not allow terrorist activities to fester near its borders. While official confirmation of the surgical strike is awaited, sources within the army have indicated that the operation was carried out on a Saturday night.
Pakistan’s conspicuous silence in response to this surgical strike echoes its apprehension. Just as with previous instances, such as the surgical strike post the Uri attack and the Balakot air strike after the Pulwama attack, Pakistan might attempt to conceal the reality of the action taken in Nakyal. Its reluctance to acknowledge the truth underscores the seriousness of the situation.
Approximately 12 to 15 elite commandos from the Indian Army’s Special Forces played a pivotal role in this strategic operation. These brave soldiers traversed the treacherous terrain on foot, crossing the Line of Control from the Tarkundi sector of Rajouri and Bhimbhar Gali in Poonch. The Indian Air Force, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, conducted an air strike on a Jaish-run terrorist camp in Balakot, Pakistan. This operation significantly disrupted Jaish’s operations, decimating its leadership and eliminating a considerable number of terrorists.

The Ministry of Defence has dismissed recent claims of an Indian Army surgical strike in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. A newspaper report had sparked speculation about the alleged strike. The Army clarified that no such operation took place in Rajouri-Poonch. Instead, it successfully thwarted an infiltration bid on August 22, where two terrorists were detected attempting to cross the Line of Control (LC) into Indian territory. Alert troops engaged the terrorists with effective fire, forcing them to retreat. One terrorist was injured and later succumbed to injuries. The Army remains vigilant to prevent further infiltration attempts.
